Let me show you the hidden gems of the city center, the unknown alleys and secret corners, “Durchhäuser” (passageways which are an architectural peculiarity) and romantic courtyards, secret passageways, quiet squares and places that make up the charm of the city centre.
We walk off the beaten track through the Blutgassen- and Franciscan neighbourhoods. Then we continue via the Stuben and Greek quarters to the oldest church in Vienna, the Ruprechtskirche, idyllically situated above the Danube Canal.
Let´s immerse into some of the most relaxed and little known parts of Vienna, where the city on the Danube shows its romantic side with lot’s of legends.
Start: St Stephen’s Cathedral, opposite the main entrance, at the Lindt shop/corner of Jasomirgottstraße, Stephansplatz 8A, 1010 Vienna (U1/U3 Stephansplatz)
End: Ruprechtskirche, Ruprechtsplatz 1, 1010 Wien (U1/U4 Schwedenplatz)
